It started with one of my husband’s old belts.

The leather was now so beautifully worn and weathered…I just couldn’t toss it, even though I didn’t really know why.

I love old things and the way time changes them. The energy these aged things have. 

“I’m going to make something with this one day”. And in it went to the back of a closet where many crafty dreams went to die. 

It would stay there for many years while I worked 12-15 hour days in restaurant kitchens; creating specials and writing menus. When I lost my job due to Covid, it sat back there with the dust bunnies, kid’s drying out markers and extension cords. And when I started my personal chef business out of pandemic induced insanity and low key depression, it was back there still…sitting inert and motionless but very much alive; waiting for me to rediscover it. 

When at last I did, during a closet clean out that started as a search for something else, it was as if it said to me, “Finally. I’ve been waiting for you”. 

I became obsessed with The Belt and what it could become. I bought all the supplies, tools, watched videos. Though no stranger to making jewelry, crafting & creating, leather was new territory for me. I began searching for more old worn vintage leather. My neurodivergent brain was hyperfixated and lit up and it was glorious. I loved the hunt for the perfect pieces and created so many beautiful bracelets with unique quality materials, love and intention.

The Belt was the stepping stone, the match. I couldn’t stop creating after that. One new project would inspire another, then another, and so on. My own personal brand mix of adhd and magick slowly found and wound it’s way into my creations and it continues to fuel and guide me in everything I make. 

This shop is the result. Intentionally made creations, by an old soul with a bouncy brain. As such, things might change from time to time. New inspirations might come from a season, a song or a sunset; and then they might go. It’s just the way it works up there, I don’t make the rules. Everything, however…Will Always be made with quality materials, often with vintage components that celebrate the natural beauty of time, that are beautifully weathered, and infused with a bit of magick.
